What I am, and what I am not

I am a web developer. I am not a doctor, a dietitian, a nutritionist or an exercise physiologist, and FitQuota does not pretend otherwise. Nothing on this site is medically reviewed.

That sets a clear boundary around what this site is good for. It implements published equations accurately, shows the arithmetic, cites the papers the equations came from, and states what each method cannot see. It does not interpret your health, and it should not be the last thing you read before making a decision that matters.

Why the site exists

Most fitness calculators hand you a number and no working. You cannot tell which formula produced it, what it assumed about your activity, or how much of the result is genuinely about you. That makes the number impossible to trust and impossible to adjust.

FitQuota shows the steps every time. If a figure looks wrong, you can see exactly which input moved it, and check the equation against the paper it came from.

How I work

Every citation on this site was checked against PubMed before it was used. Worked examples are generated by the same code that runs the calculators, so a guide cannot contradict the tool beside it. Published error margins are stated rather than hidden, and dates only move when the content actually changes.

The full set of rules is written down in the editorial policy, including the things this site will not do.

Found something wrong?

Errors in a formula, a figure or a citation are worth more to me than compliments. Every calculator lists its sources, so a disagreement can be settled by reading the paper. Get in touch and it gets fixed.
